heard

tracks.

INPUT
buttons
may,

course,
be
depressed
when
necessary

monitor
the
record
inputs
but
the
sync
button

depressed
during
re-recording.

Simultaneously
press
the
RECORD
and
PLAY
buttons
to
initiate
playback.
The
recorder
is
in
record
ready
mode,
and
the
LEDs
above
the
VU
meters
whose
tracks
are
selected
by
the
RECORD
MODE
buttons
will
blink.

To
commence
the
punch-in,
press
the
RECORD
MODE
button(s)
for
the
appropriate
track(s);
the
LED
above
the
active
track
VU
meter(s)
will
stay
on,
and
all
other
tracks’
meter
LEDs
will
turn
off.
The
output
signal(s)
of
the
recording
channel(s)
automatically
changes
from
tape
out
to
source
monitor.
. To end the punch-in, either press STOP, or release the
RECORD MODE button(s).
NOTE: A variation of this procedure allows the RECORD
MODE selector(s) to be preset for recording on the
desired channel(s). іп that case, press PLAY to begin
playback, then press PLAY and RECORD simultaneously
to begin the punch-in.
‚ Forthis procedure, the transport is put in the PLAY mode,
and
tape
outputs,
including
the
track(s)
being
recorded,
can
be
monitored.
The
musicians
then
perform
by
listen-
ing
to
these
signals
through
an
externally
mixed
cue
feed.
Punch-in
can
be
cancelled
by
either
depressing
the
STOP
button
or
releasing
the
RECORD
MODE
button.
