      Jason MackAug 6, 2025
If your Franke dishwasher won't start or doesn't respond to commands, try these steps: First, ensure the appliance is properly plugged into the socket. If there was a power outage, open the dishwasher door, press the START/Pause button, and close the door within 4 seconds. Check that the dishwasher door is fully closed until you hear a 'click'. If the door was opened for more than 4 seconds during a cycle, press START/Pause and close the door within 4 seconds. If the display shows 9 or 12 and the On/Off LED is blinking rapidly, switch the appliance off and on again after a minute. If the problem continues, unplug the appliance for 1 minute, then plug it back in.

Check that the rinse aid compartment cap is closed correctly. Clean the filter assembly if it's soiled or clogged, and fill the salt reservoir if it's empty.
