What to do if my Franklin Electric SubDrive Inline 1100 is overheated?
    • S
      stewartshawnAug 2, 2025
If your Franklin Electric DC Drives is overheated, it may be due to several reasons. The ambient temperature might be too high (exceeding 104°F or 40°C), there could be improper ventilation, or the heat sink might be clogged. Shield the drive from direct sunlight and ensure the air temperature around it doesn't exceed 104°F (40°C). Also, remove any debris from the heat sink fins to improve ventilation.

Why my Franklin Electric DC Drives shows undervoltage?
    • S
      Sally MillerAug 6, 2025
Undervoltage in your Franklin Electric DC Drives typically occurs because the line voltage is low (less than approximately 190 VAC) or due to misconnected input power leads. Check the incoming power connections and correct or tighten them if necessary to resolve the issue.

What to do if Franklin Electric DC Drives shows short circuit?
    • D
      Desiree LynchAug 10, 2025
If your Franklin Electric DC Drives indicates a short circuit immediately after powering up, it could be due to a defective cable, motor, or the drive itself. Check the motor connections and consider replacing the drive or motor to resolve the issue.

What to do if Franklin Electric SubDrive Inline 1100 shows over pressure?
    • R
      Roberto TorresAug 15, 2025
If your Franklin Electric DC Drives shows an overpressure error, it could be due to a few reasons: the shut-off sensor might have loose connections or has opened, the tank might be waterlogged, or the pressure setting is too close to the shut-off sensor pressure. Check for loose connections on the shut-off sensor and drive terminal blocks. Check the tank recharge, as a waterlogged tank may cause a pressure spike. Reduce the system pressure setting to a value less than the pressure shut-off sensor.

What to do if Franklin Electric SubDrive Inline 1100 DC Drives pump is locked?
    • A
      arielmosesSep 12, 2025
If your Franklin Electric DC Drives pump is locked, it could be due to a dragging motor or pump, or abrasives/debris within the pump. Check the pump for external damage, such as a dent in the shell. Flush debris from the pump and consider adding an input screen to prevent future blockages.

How to fix motor underload on Franklin Electric SubDrive Inline 1100?
    • D
      Dr. Maurice DavilaAug 25, 2025
A motor underload on your Franklin Electric DC Drives can occur if the pump is running dry due to no water, insufficient water in a cistern application, or an air/gas lock in the pump. Check the water source to ensure it's adequate. Restrict the pump discharge to prevent cavitation and raise the minimum water level in the cistern if applicable.

What to do if Franklin Electric SubDrive Inline 1100 DC Drives shows open motor circuit?
    • J
      Justin WalkerAug 27, 2025
If your Franklin Electric DC Drives indicates an open motor circuit, it's likely due to a loose motor connection. Check the motor connection to ensure the wires are properly connected.
