Only deactivate Stability Control Assist in
the situations described below.
It may be better to deactivate Stability Control
Assist in the following situations:

when driving on aloose surface
R
when driving with snow chains
R
when operating asnowplough
Activate Stability Control Assist as soon as the
situations previouslydescribed are no longer
present.
When you start the engine, Stability Control
Assist is automaticallyactivated.

Press the k button.
If the k indicator lamp in the instrument
cluster lights up, Stability Control Assist is
deactivated.
Differential locks

WARNING
When differential locks are engaged on a
firm, high-grip surface, the vehicle's steera-
bility is greatly impaired.Inparticular,
engaging the differential locks when corner-
ing could lead to you losing control of the
vehicle. There is arisk of an accident.
Disengage the differential locks immediately
on firm surfaces with good grip.

Observe the following points. You could
otherwise damage the differential locks.

Do not engage the differential locks if the
drive wheels are spinning.
R
Engage the differential locks only when
the vehicle is stationary or when travelling
at walking pace.
R
Do not engage the differential locks while
depressing the accelerator or brake
pedal.
R
Pull awayslowly after engaging the differ-
ential locks. The differential lock teeth
may not be fully engaged.
R
Do not drive on high-grip surfaces with
the differential locks engaged.
R
Do not drive faster than 30 mph
(50 km/h) with the differential lock
engaged.
