Important safety notes

WARNING
Fuels are toxic and harmfultohealth. There
is ariskofinjury.
Youmustavoid fuels coming into contact
with skin, eyes and clothes or being swal-
lowed.
Do not inhale the fuelvapors. Keepchildren
away from fuels.
Keepdoors and windowsclosed during the
refueling process.
If youorothers come into contact with fuel,
observe the following points:

Immediately rinsethe fueloff your skin
with soapand water.
R
If youget fuelinto your eyes, immediately
rinseyoureyesthroughlywithclean
water. Seek medicalattention immedi-
ately.
R
Seek medicalattention immediately if fuel
hasbeenswallowed. Do not induce vomit-
ing.
R
Immediately change outofclothing which
hascome into contact with fuel.

WARNING
Fuelishighly flammable. Improperhandling
of fuelcreates ariskoffire and explosion.
Avoidfire,openflames,smoking and creat-
ing sparks under allcircumstances. Switch
off the ignition and auxiliary heating before
carrying outworktothe fuelsystem. Always
wear protectivegloves.

WARNING
If youmix dieselfuelwithgasoline,the flash
point is lowerthan that of pure dieselfuel.
Whenthe engine is running, exhaustsystem
components could overheat withoutbeing
noticed. There is ariskoffire.
Neverrefuel with gasoline.Nevermix gaso-
line with dieselfuel.

Only refuel using commerciallyavailable,
sulfur-freedieselfuelthat conforms to the
Europeanstandard EN 590 as of 2010, et
seq.(max. 0.001% sulfurbyweight).
The following fueltypes are not permitted:
R
sulfurousfuelwithasulfurcontent
greaterthan 0.001% by weight
R
marine dieselfuel
R
aviation turbine fuel
R
heating oils
R
FAME fatty acidmethylester(bio-diesel
fuel) by volume
These fueltypes cause irreversible damage
to the engine and exhaustgas aftertreat-
ment, as well as also significantlyreducing
the expected service life.

Do not usegasoline to refuel vehicles with
adieselengine. Even small amounts of gas-
oline will cause damagetothe fuelsystem
and engine.

Do not switch on the ignition if youacci-
dentallyrefuel with the wrong fuel. Other-
wise, the fuelwillenter the fuellines. Notify
aqualified specialist workshopand have the
fueltank and fuellines drainedcompletely.

Do not mix any specialfueladditiveswith
the dieselfuel.
