Secure the cab with the support rod if it is
tilted fully to its end position.

If there is no noticeable resistance when
youoperate the pump lever, have the tilting
hydraulics checkedataqualified specialist
workshop.
Tilting the cab backintothe driving
position

WARNING
If the cab is not locked, the following dan-
geroussituations could arise when the vehi-
cle decelerates:
R
it could tiltforwards
R
youcould lose control of the vehicle.
R
persons in the cab could be thrownfor-
wards
R
persons or objects in the swinging range
could be hit
There is ariskofanaccident and injury.
Before every journey,make sure that:
R
the cab is locked
R
the cab is engaged in driving position and
the valve lever is in driving position
R
the indicator lamp goesout when the
engine is started
:
Sealing lip
Before tilting back the cab,check that sealing
lip : hasbeenproperly reinserted. Sealing
lip : mustrestflush and cannotbetwisted.

Remove the support rod.
X
Swing valve lever : on the tilting pump to
driving position 2.
X
Attach the pump lever with the wheel
wrench to hexagon nut ; on the tilting
pump.
X
Move the pump lever up and downonthe
tilting pump untilthe cab is tipped into the
rearend position.
The catch engages audiblyand the cab auto-
matically locks.
Do not continuetooperate the pump lever
on the tilting pump once the cab is locked in
position.

Close the maintenance flap.
X
Make sure that the º indicator lamp in
the instrument cluster goesout afteryou
startthe engine.
Whenthe º indicator lamp goesout,the
cab is locked. If the º indicator lamp
doesnot go out, repeatthe process and tip
the cab back again.
