Tire damage can, for example, be caused by:

Tire age
Tiresage,even if they are usedinfrequently or
not at all.Operating and road safety diminish
with the age of the tire. For this reason have
tires more than six years old checked and, if
necessary, replaced at aqualified specialist
workshop. This alsoappliestothe spare
wheel.
Date of manufacture : informs you about the
age of atire. The first and second digits refer
to the weekofmanufacture, starting with "01"
for the first calendar weekofthe year. The
third and fourth digits refer to the yearofman-
ufacture. Atire that is marked "3818",for
example, wasthus manufactured in the 38th
calendar weekof2018.
Tire load-bearing capacity, tire speed
rating and tire types

Replacing the tires and retreaded tires

If replacing the standard tires of yourvehicle,
use only the tire and wheelrim sizes approved

After replacing yourtires, carry with you the
vehicle's type approval for the new tire and
wheelrim size as wellasthe manufacturer's
certification showing that the tires may be

obtaining amanufacturer's certificate.
