In winter, it is recommended never to cut off the power
electrical of your air conditioner.
Friax air conditioners are equipped with a crankcase heater
allowing them to heat the compressor in winter when it
is stopped.
This resistance will be activated automatically
as soon as the outside temperature is lower than that of
your cellar and only if the compressor is stopped.
In this way it prevents the refrigerant from
condenses in the compressor thus causing a "clash"
liquid" when restarting.
This would result in degradation of the compressor.
Turning off the power supply stops this
crankcase resistance.
However, if you wish to stop your device in winter, we
recommend that you do this with the OFF Mode of
the remote control. In this case
the regulation of your Friax remains on standby and will activate the
compressor heating if necessary.
