Care, maintenance and disposal
General Under normal operating conditions, the welding system requires only a minimum of care
and maintenance. However, it is vital to observe some important points to ensure the
welding system remains in a usable condition for many years.

WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal.
Before opening the device

Turn the mains switch to the "O" position
▶
Unplug the device from the mains
▶
Ensure the device cannot be switched back on
▶
Using a suitable measuring instrument, check to make sure that electrically charged
components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged
WARNING!
Work that is carried out incorrectly can cause serious injury and damage.

The following activities must only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel.

All instructions in the section headed "Safety rules" must be observed.
Every start-up - Check torch hosepack, interconnecting hosepack and ground earth connection for
signs of damage. Replace any damaged components
- Check feed rollers and inner liners for signs of damage. Replace any damaged com-
ponents
- Check contact pressure of feed rollers and adjust if necessary
- Check that all screw connections between the robot, wire-feed unit mount and wire-
feed unit are secure
- Check all screw joints on system components and associated mounts for tightness
Every 6 months
NOTE!
Risk of damage to electronic components.
Do not bring the air nozzle too close to electronic components.
- Remove the cover from the device and clean the inside with dry reduced com-
pressed air
Disposal Dispose of in accordance with the applicable national and local regulations.
