WOOD INSTALLATION
When installing into wood Frontline requires wood substrate of minimum 5/8”
thick CDX plywood, a ¾” backer support board and all fasteners must penetrate
completely through the substrate. The substrate also must withstand the
required 5,000 lbs minimum breaking strength and approved before use by a
qualified person. Thereafter, then follow the next steps:
1. Use (20) #14 x 2.5” Hex Head Screws for wood decking applications.
2. Ensure that anchor is flat on the wood surface without any obstructions.
3. Option 1: for roof trusses over 24” on center.
a. Ensure to have a minimum ¾” thick backer board (Figure 7).
b. Backer board to have no more than 8” on center screws screwed to
original roof truss decking structure (Figure 7).
c. Anchor must be installed on a minimum of 48” x 48” space and reinforced
by a backer board and over 3 structural joists (Figure 7).
d. Insert the 20 screws through the anchor openings for wood use and
ensure screws fully penetrate the truss, sheathing and backer board and be
of tight fit without overnighting.
e. Verify that the anchor is secured and properly installed.
