AUTO POWER OFF
Choose the length of time before the camera
turns off automatically when no operations
are performed. Shorter times increase battery
life; if OFF is selected, the camera must be
turned off manually. Note that regardless of the
option selected, the camera will not turn off
automatically when connected to a printer (pg.
51) or computer (pg. 56) or when a slide show is
in progress (pg. 75).
B Tip: Reactivating the Camera
To reactivate the camera after it has turned off
automatically, use the n button or press the D
button for about a second (pg. 11).
A Note
Although OFF is selected for o AUTO POWER OFF,
the camera will turn off automatically if no operations
are performed for five minutes in the following case:
• w QUICK AF or x CLEAR DISPLAY is selected for
m POWER MANAGEMENT.
• r is selected in P MODE.
• STANDBY is displayed in A.
• B is displayed in the shooting mode.
• G, V is selected in the shooting mode.
