5 Exposure Compensation
Use exposure compensation when photographing very bright, very dark, or high-contrast subjects.

Press the selector up (5).
The exposure indicator will be displayed.

Choose a value.
Press the selector button. The effect is
visible in the display.
Choose positive (+) values
to increase exposure
Choose negative (–) values
to reduce exposure

Return to shooting mode.
Press MENU/OK to return to
shooting mode.

Take pictures.
A Note
A 5 icon and exposure indicator are displayed at
settings other than ±0. Exposure compensation is not
reset when the camera is turned off; to restore normal
exposure control, choose a value of ±0.
