Password protection of operating system
If system protection is activated, the operating system can only be started with one password
(supervisor or user password).
You require a supervisor password in order to activate/deactivate the operating system password
protection.
Activating system protection
► Call the BIOS Setup Utility.
► Enter the supervisor password in the BIOS setup.
► Select the Security menu.
► Select the Password on boot option.
► Select the Enabled option.
► Select the Save Changes and Exit option under Exit.
Your notebook will now restart and you are asked to enter your password.
Deactivating system protection
► Call the BIOS Setup Utility.
► Enter the supervisor password in the BIOS setup.
► Select the Security menu.
► Select the Password on boot option.
► Select the Disabled option.
► Select the Save Changes and Exit option under Exit.
► Press the Enter key.
The notebook reboots and there is no longer any password protection for the operating system.
