Why does my Fujitsu ABTF14LAT Air Conditioner make noise?
    • D
      Darrell NunezSep 4, 2025
During operation and immediately after stopping the unit, the sound of water flowing in the air conditioner’s piping may be heard. Also, during operation, a slight squeaking sound may occur due to minor expansion and contraction of the front cover caused by temperature changes. During heating, a sizzling sound may be heard occasionally due to the Automatic Defrosting operation.

Mist or steam from your Fujitsu Air Conditioner can be normal: * During cooling or dry operation, a thin mist may appear due to the rapid cooling of room air, causing condensation. * During heating, steam from the outdoor unit may occur when the fan stops as part of the automatic defrosting process.

      asmithSep 12, 2025
If the unit is stopped and then immediately started again, the compressor will not operate for about 3 minutes, in order to prevent fuse blowouts. Also, whenever the power supply plug is disconnected and then reconnected to a power outlet, the protection circuit will operate for about 3 minutes, preventing unit operation during that period.

Why Fujitsu ABTF14LAT airflow is weak or stops?
    • S
      Sheena ZimmermanSep 7, 2025
Weak or absent airflow in your Fujitsu Air Conditioner can occur due to several reasons: * During the start of heating operation, the fan speed is temporarily very low to allow internal parts to warm up. * If the room temperature exceeds the thermostat setting during heating, the outdoor unit will stop, and the indoor unit will operate at a very low fan speed. Increase the thermostat setting if you want more heat. * The unit will temporarily stop (for 7-15 minutes) during heating for automatic defrosting. The OPERATION lamp will flash during this time. * The fan might run at a very low speed during dry operation or when the unit monitors the room temperature. * In monitor AUTO operation, the fan will operate at a very low speed.

Why is my Fujitsu ABTF14LAT cooling or heating poorly?
    • C
      Courtney CoxAug 21, 2025
Several factors can impact cooling or heating performance. Check if the air filter is dirty, or if the air conditioner’s intake grille or outlet port is blocked. Ensure the thermostat is set correctly and that no windows or doors are open. For cooling, close curtains if sunlight enters the room. Also, consider if there are heat-generating appliances or too many people in the room. Finally, check if the unit is set to QUIET operation.
