Why is my Fujitsu Air Conditioner cooling or heating poorly?
    • L
      Lori MartinAug 14, 2025
Poor cooling or heating performance in your Fujitsu Air Conditioner can stem from several factors. Check if the air filter is dirty, or if the air intake grille or outlet port is blocked. Ensure that the room temperature settings (thermostat) are correctly adjusted. Also, check for open windows or doors. If it's cooling operation, consider whether bright sunlight is entering the room (close the curtains). Finally, evaluate if there are heating appliances or too many people in the room, affecting the cooling performance.

Why is the airflow weak on my Fujitsu Air Conditioner?
    • G
      Gina MillsAug 25, 2025
If the airflow from your Fujitsu Air Conditioner is weak or stops, it could be due to several reasons. When heating starts, the fan speed is temporarily very low to allow internal parts to warm up. During heating, if the room temperature exceeds the thermostat setting, the outdoor unit will stop, and the indoor unit will operate at a very low fan speed. The unit might also temporarily stop (for 7-15 minutes) for automatic defrosting, during which the OPERATION indicator light will flash. The fan may also operate at very low speed during dry operation or when the unit is monitoring room temperature. Finally, in monitor AUTO operation, the fan runs at a very low speed.

What is that noise coming from my Fujitsu AOU36?
    • E
      ericbarnesAug 30, 2025
The noise you hear from your Fujitsu Air Conditioner could be due to a few reasons. During and immediately after operation, the sound of water flowing in the air conditioner’s piping might be audible. A slight squeaking sound might occur during operation due to minute expansion and contraction of the front cover from temperature changes. During heating, a swoosh sound may occasionally be heard, which is produced by the automatic defrosting operation.

Why is my Fujitsu AOU36 emitting mist or steam?
    • E
      Eileen AndradeSep 3, 2025
The mist or steam emitted from your Fujitsu Air Conditioner can occur for the following reasons: During cooling or dry operation, a thin mist may be seen due to the sudden cooling of room air, resulting in condensation. During heating, the outdoor unit’s fan may stop, and steam may rise from the unit due to automatic defrosting operation.

Why does my Fujitsu Air Conditioner smell?
    • S
      Seth McgeeSep 6, 2025
Occasionally, your Fujitsu Air Conditioner may emit an odor from the indoor unit. This can be due to room odors (from furniture, tobacco, etc.) being drawn into the air conditioner.

Why Fujitsu Air Conditioner doesn’t operate immediately?
    • M
      Mr. Bobby SmithSep 9, 2025
If your Fujitsu Air Conditioner doesn’t operate immediately after being turned on, it could be due to a protective function. If the unit is stopped and then immediately restarted, the compressor will not operate for about 3 minutes to prevent fuse blowouts. Also, whenever the power switch is turned off then on again, the protection circuit will operate for about 3 minutes, preventing unit operation during that period.
