Switching on the notebook

► Slide the release button in direction of the
arrow (1) and open the LCD screen (2).

the notebook on.
The power-on indicator is lit.
Windows XP:
You can configure the p ower button with Start - (Settings) - Control Panel -
Performance and Maintenance - Power Options - A dvanced.
Windows Vista:
You can configure t he power button with Start - (Settings) - Control
Panel - Mobile PC - Power Options.
If you have assigned a password, you must enter this when requeste d to do so, in order
to start th e operating system. Further information can be found in the "Professional
Notebook" operating manual, section entitled "Security functions".
