Why are other computers not displayed when I double-click the Network Computer icon on my Fujitsu Laptop?

To resolve the issue of other computers not being displayed when you double-click the Network Computer icon on your Fujitsu Laptop, ensure you enter your username and password correctly when Windows starts. If you've forgotten your password, try entering another username to register a new one. Also, verify the network settings for protocol, workgroup, and sharing. It may also be that the network takes time to search and display connected computers, in which case you can manually search for the computer by clicking Start, then Search, then Other Computers, and entering the computer name. Finally, make sure that the driver is correctly installed and the TCP/IP protocol is installed and the IP address is correctly set.

      Edgar RogersNov 12, 2025
To check if the IP packet is correctly delivered to the destination on your Fujitsu Laptop, you should run the PING command. First, ensure that the TCP/IP protocol is installed. You can determine your IP address by opening the Command Prompt (Windows 2000: Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt; Windows XP: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) and typing ipconfig > directory\filename, replacing directory and filename with your desired location. After determining your IP address, return to the DOS prompt and type ping to check if it's functioning properly.
