Power-on indicator/Standby

• The indicator flashes: The notebook is in standby mode.
• The indicator is not lit: The no
tebook is switched off.
Battery status indicato r/main s connection
The state of charge of the battery is shown by th e battery indicator.
1. With AC adapter conn ecte d:
• The indicato r lights up orange: The battery is charging.
• The indicator is off: Charging is completed.
• The indicator fla shes orange: The battery cannot be charged as
the battery is too hot or cold for charging. The charging process
is continued as soon as the battery reaches a permissible
temperature again.
2. Running on battery (without AC adapter):
• The indicator is off: Battery level is 100-20%.
• The indicator lights up red: Battery level i s 19-0%.
• The indicator flashing slowly red: Battery level is 19-0% and the
system is in power saving mode.
3. Battery abnormality/error:
The indicator flashes red .

Drive indicator

Indicator is illuminated: One of the drives (e.g. hard disk, optical drive) is
being accessed.
Num Lock indicator

key has been pre ssed. The virtual numerical
keypad is activated. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is lit: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters
you type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appe ar when that ke y
is pressed.
