Setting up W LAN access
• Requirement: A WLAN must be available a nd you m u st have the
corresponding access information.
Information on configuring the WLAN access can be found in the
documentation for your operating s ystem.
Access via UMTS
If you have ordered your devi
ce with a built-in UMTS m odule, your device will
be equipped with t he corresp
onding aerials, a SIM card slot and the software for
establishing a conne ction
. You can purchase a SIM card in a shop.
► Windows XP and Windows Vista: To connect to a UMTS network, select Start - Programs
-OneClick Internet.
► Windows 7: To connect to a UMTS netw ork, select Start - All Programs -OneClick Internet.

► On the desktop, double-click on the OneClick Internet icon (device-dependent).

EthernetLAN
The internal net work modul
e of your notebook supports Ethernet LAN. You can use it to
establish a connection to
a local network (LAN = Local Area Network).

► Connect the net work cable
to the LAN
port o f the notebook (1).
► Connect the network cable t o your
network connection (2).
Your netwo rk administrator can help you to co nfigure and use the LAN connections.
The network cable is not included in the delivery scope. This type of
cable c an be obtained from a specialist dealer.
