Using Your LIFEBOOK
The Battery Change Function is function that
you can replace the main battery pack with the
computer power-on (included standby mode), by
using built-in reserve battery.
When LIFEBOOK state is shut-down or
hibernate, Battery Change Function State
Indicator does not light, you can replace
the battery as it is.
1. Change to PC mode if LIFEBOOK is Tablet
Mode.
2. Disconnect all external device (AC adapter,
USB Memory, External monitor etc.)
3. Close the display panel and turn the
system upside down.
4. Sliding main battery Lock 1 in the direction
of the arrow.
Sliding main battery Lock 2 in the direction
of the arrow to unlock main battery.

5. Check Battery Change Function State
Indicator during main battery is
unlocked.
After unlock, The indicator shows whether
your LIFEBOOK is ready replace main
battery.
In case of LIFEBOOK is power on and
available to replace battery, LIFEBOOK is
moved to standby mode automatically.
Don't return LIFEBOOK from standby
mode to power-on by operating the power
button etc.
During replace battery, when CPU load in
the laptop is increasing, LIFEBOOK may
shut-down forcibly.
In case of not move to standby, after
application is closed, please try this battery
replacement process again.
