Adjusting fan control
You can adjust the fan control in the BIOS Setup Utility. The following settings are available:
• Normal: The system is cooled to ensure that the maximum system performance is always
available and to keep the housing temperature as low as possible.
• Silent: The fan rotation speed, and thereby the noise created by the fan, is reduced.
The default setting of this system is Normal.
► Call up the BIOS Setup Utility.
► In the menu Advanced - Miscellaneous Configurations select the Fan Control function.
► Choose the setting Normal or Silent.

With the Fujitsu Utility Function Manager you can also switch between
these two settings with Window s.
You can find the Fujitsu Utility Function Manager in the Windows start menu under

In the Function Manager, select the Fan menu item with the op tions Quiet
Mode (correspon ds to Silent)andNormal Mode.
