1. Registering Answerback
The Answerback code is entered by following the procedure below. The answerback
code consists of MMSI number, 4 letters and X. For example, the MMSI is 431456789,
ship name FURUNO and call sign JAAA, the answerback code is 431456789 FURU X
or 431456789 JAAA X. 4 letters are the call sign or one you filled out in the Inmarsat
registration sheet. The answerback code of the marine mobile station ends with X.
Procedure
1. Select “5. Answerback Code Entry” and type the answerback code.

2. Press [ENT] and “OK/Cancel” prompt is displayed. Select “OK” and then press
[ENT].

3. With the confirmation message, press [ENT].
Caution
Confirm the “CODE” before pressing ENTER key.
You cannot change the CODE once it has been entered.
Re-registering answerback code
First, delete the answerback code by typing “ANSWER (space) CODE” in capital
letters with “5. Answerback Code Entry” display. Then enter new answerback code.
