Check the device for fuel leaks, loosened
fasteners and damage to key components,
especially handles and guide rail mounting. If
a defect is found, it is imperative that it be
repaired before the next use.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE POINTS
1. Cylinder cooling fins
Dust trapped between the cylinder fins can
cause the motor to overheat. The cylinder fins
must therefore be cleaned regularly after
removing the air filter and cylinder cover.
When installing the cylinder cover, make sure
that the switch wires and grommets are
properly seated.
2. Fuel filter
(a) Use a bent wire to remove the filter from
the filling opening.
(1) Fuel filter
(b) Dismantle the filter and wash it out with
petrol, or replace the filter if necessary.
3. Spark plug
Clean the electrodes with a wire brush and
adjust the electrode gap to 0.6 - 0.7mm.
