- How to Close Record Light: Go to record setting -> Record Indicator -> select close (OFF) to prevent the light from illuminating during recording.
- Format Error: Usually caused by:
A. Directly pushing the POWER BUTTON to OFF during recording (press STOP first).
B. Recordings less than 5 seconds long.
C. Computer not supporting WAV files (Windows 10 or Mac users may encounter this). Download MplayerX / VLC Media Player or record in MP3 format.
- Disk Error: Caused by static shock, overcurrent charging, or power cut during formatting.
- Rescue: Keep power button at OFF, connect to Windows computer, and format the disk again. (Mac users should contact customer support).
- How to connect to computer: Use the attached cable or an Android phone cable. If connection fails, contact Gshop.Krista@gmail.com.
- Can I delete recordings from computer: Yes, when connected, the recorder appears as "L87." Recordings are in the "RECORD" folder. Files can be deleted or copied like a USB Flash Drive.
- When Connect to computer, the buttons not work: The device enters connection mode, displaying "CONNECTION ICON." Buttons will not work. Pressing and holding M will exit connection mode but may fail to connect to the computer.
- Cannot find my recordings in the recorder: This is often due to the device reading the MUSIC folder. Press and hold STOP to switch back to the RECORD folder. Alternatively, connect to a computer to check for recordings.
- How to Turn ON Voice Activated Function: Menu Options -> record setting -> Voice Activated Setting -> AVR mode -> ON -> M to confirm. "VOX" will appear on screen.
- How to Use the AVR Mode (Voice Activated Function): When ON, the recorder enters voice-activated recording mode, picking up only loud enough decibels. Select the desired AVR level (1-5 for L157, 1-7 for L87). Lower numbers require louder voices; higher numbers are more sensitive. When ON, pressing REC records for 3 seconds to check recording mode, then picks up loud enough sounds.
- Press REC, it not recording: Check if the recording light blinks. See if "VOX" is on screen (if so, close AVR mode if not desired). Confirm sufficient free space.
- Press REC, it shows “OVER RECORD”: This means memory is full or there are too many "FOLDER" or "recordings." This can happen from mistakenly recording/saving repeatedly or copying/creating too many folders. Some files may be unreadable. Format the recorder or connect to a computer to check and format the disk.
- How to use the A-B repeat function: During playback, press and hold M to set point A (B will blink). Press and hold M again to set point B. Playback will repeat between A and B.
- The recording is noise: Avoid recording near computers, electric fans, air conditioners, or sound bars, as the recorder will pick up static noise.
- The recorder auto shut down when I am recording: The sleeper time function is ON. Go to System setting -> sleeper time, select OFF and confirm. Restore to factory settings if unsure how to set sleeper time.
- I Cannot Shut Off My Voice Recorder: If the recorder is charging or connected to a computer, it will remain ON even if the POWER BUTTON is OFF, as it draws power from the charging source.
- Space is full: Connect to a computer, back up files, then delete recordings from the recorder. Do not cut off recordings from the recorder to the computer, as this won't delete files successfully. The recorder has limited storage (48GB), so regular backup is necessary.
