Garmin Travel Guide
Much like a paper travel guide, the Garmin
Travel Guide provides detailed information
about places, such as restaurants and hotels.
To purchase an accessory, go to http://buy
.garmin.com, or contact your Garmin dealer.
To use the Travel Guide, insert the memory
card into your zūmo. Touch Where To?
> Extras. Touch the name of your Travel
Guide to view it.
Battery Information
Your zūmo contains a user-replaceable,
lithium-ion battery. To maximize the lifetime
of the battery, do not leave your zūmo
in direct sunlight, and avoid prolonged
exposure to excessive heat.
The battery icon in the corner of the
Menu page indicates the status of the zūmo
battery. To increase the accuracy of the
battery gauge, fully discharge the battery and
fully charge it. Do not unplug the zūmo until
it is totally charged.
Replacing the Battery in the
zūmo
If you need to replace the battery in the
zūmo, use a Garmin lithium-ion battery
010-11143-00. Purchase a replacement
battery at http://buy.garmin.com. Contact
your local waste disposal department for
information about properly disposing of the
battery.
Charging Your zūmo
Use the automotive power cable.
Use the motorcycle mount
Use the optional USB cable.
NOTE: the battery does not charge in the
motorcycle mount while the zūmo is turned
off.
Maximizing the Battery Life
Turn down the backlight (Tools >
Settings > Display > Brightness).
Disable Bluetooth, see page 21.
Do not leave your zūmo in direct
sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to
excessive heat.
Changing the Fuse
CAUTION
When replacing the fuse, do not lose any
of the small pieces, and ensure they are put
back in the proper place.
If your unit does not charge in your vehicle,
you may need to replace the fuse located at
the tip of the automotive adapter.
1. Unscrew the black, round end piece, and
remove it.
2. Remove the fuse (glass and silver
cylinder), and replace with a 3A fast‑blow
fuse.
3. Ensure that the silver tip
is placed in the black end
piece. Screw on the black
end piece.
