Adjusting display settings

Software controls
You can adjust the desktop settings such as the color depth and screen area
resolution using the Display Properties window.
To change the color depth and screen area resolution:

Click
Start
, then select
Settings
, then
Control Panel
. The Control Panel
window opens.

Click/Double-click the
Display
icon. The Display Properties window
opens.

Click the
Settings
tab.

Select the color depth (number of colors) used for the screen display from
the
Colors
list. Choosing the highest number of colors available in the
menu gives the best results.

Select the screen area (number of pixels) used for the horizontal and
vertical screen display by dragging the Screen area slider. The display’s
best resolution is 1280 × 1024.

Click
OK
. The settings are updated.
