To Store:
When using a vehicle belt to secure the Base, the
LATCH Connectors MUST be stored in the Base. Loose
Connectors could seriously injure vehicle occupants in
the event of a crash.
Fully extend the Leveling Foot and fully extend the latch
strap. Slide each connector back into its Storage slot
until an audible CLICK is heard.
Close and Lock the Belt Tensioning Plate.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the Latch Strap when storing,
as this will interfere with the Belt Tensioning Plate when
installing the Base using vehicle belts.
Remove most of the slack from the LATCH strap by
pulling on the LATCH Strap Tensioning Loop until it lays
flat on the bottom of the base.
Do not remove more slack from the LATCH Strap than
necessary to allow it to lie flat on the bottom of the Base
between the Belt Guides.
Retract the Leveling Foot by squeezing the Level
Adjustment Handle and pushing in the Leveling Foot.
