Why does my GE Ranges oven door glass look tinted or have a rainbow color?

  This is normal for a new GE Range. The inner oven glass has a heat barrier to reflect heat back into the oven, which helps prevent heat loss and keeps the outer door cool during baking. You may see a tint or rainbow color under certain lighting or angles.
