Cooktop Surface
Toavoid damaging the porcelain-enamel
surface of the cooktop and to prevent it
from becoming dull,clean up spillsright
away. Foodswith a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut, fruit juices,etc.)or foods with
high sugar content could cause a dull spot
if allowed to set.
NOTE:Do not store flammable materials
in an oven or near the cooktop.Do not
store or usecombustible materials,
gasoline or other flammable vapors and
liquidsin the vicinity ofthis or any other
appliance.
When the surface has cooled,wash and
rinse. Forother spillssuch asfat spatterings,
wash with soap and water once the surface
has cooled.Then rinse and polish with a dry
cloth.
NOTE:Do not lift the cooktop on sealed
burner models.Lifting the cooktop can lead to
damage and improper operation of the range.
Stainless Steel Surfaces (onsomemodels)
Do not use a steel wool pad; it will scratch
the surface.
To cleanthe stainlesssteel surface,
usewarm sudsy water or a stainless steel
cleaner or polish.Always wipe the surface in
the direction of the grain. Followthe cleaner
instructions for cleaningthe stainlesssteel
surface.

Lift-Up Cooktop (onmodels with standard twin burners)
Cleanthe area under the cooktop often.
Built-up soil,especially grease, may catch
on fire.
To make cleaning easier,the cooktop may be
lifted up.
NOTE:Do not lift the cooktop on sealed
burner models.Lifting the cooktop can leadto
damage and improper operation of the range.
Cleanunder the cooktop with hot, soapy
water and a clean cloth. If you removed
your surface burners while cleaning, make
surethey are properly seated when replacing
them.
After cleaning, lower the cooktop (becareful
not to pinch your fingers).
Toraise the cooktop:
_] Besurethe burners are turned off.

and lift up.

Vent appearance and location vary.
Oven Air Vents
Neverblock the vents (airopenings)of the
range.They providethe air inlet and outlet
that are necessary for the range to operate
properly with correct combustion.
Air openings are located at the rear of
the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the
oven door,and at the bottom of the range,
under the warming drawer, storage drawer
or kickpanel (dependingon the model).
