Why do my clothes take too long to dry in my GE GFD65?

If your GE Dryer is taking too long to dry clothes, several factors could be at play. Check that the dryer venting is correct according to the Installation Instructions, and ensure the ducting is clean, free of kinks, and unobstructed. Also, verify the outside wall damper operates easily. Separate heavy items from lightweight items. Large loads of heavy fabrics should be separated into smaller loads to speed drying time. Make sure your control settings match the load you are drying. Clean the lint filter before every load. Replace any blown fuses or reset tripped circuit breakers, noting that some electric dryers use two fuses/breakers.
