Howto Set the Ovenfor Cleaning
Quick Reminder:
1. Latch the door.
2. Turn the Oven Temperature knob to
AUTO SELF CLEAN.
If the oven is too hot and you start to set a clean
cycle, you will not be able to slide the latch. Allow
additional time for cooling before you try to set
the cycle.
1. Follow directions to prepare the oven for cleaning,
Clean cycle time is normally 4 hours and 20
minutes. On models with a COOK TIME ON/OFF
pad, you can change the clean time to anywhere
between 3 hours and 5 hours and 59 minutes,
depending on how dirty your oven is.
You have one minute to change your clean time.
Use the HOUR and MIN. pads to change the total
clean time.
Both the OVEN ON light and the LATCH DOOR
light will flash when the clean time is finished.

ToStop a CleanCycle
1. Turn the Oven Temperature knob to OFF.
2. Wait until the oven has cooled below the locking temperature to unlatch
the door. Youwill not be able to open the door right away unless the oven
has cooled below the locking temperature.
After a CleanCycle
Youmay notice some white ash in the oven. Just
wipe it up with a damp cloth after the oven cools.
If white spoti remain, remove them with a soap-
filled steel wool pad. Be sure to rinse thoroughly with
a vinegar and water mixture. These deposits are
usually a saltresiduethatcannotbe removedby the
CleanCycle.
If the oven is not clean after one Clean Cycle,
repeat the cycle.
NOTE:
● Youcannot set the oven for cooking until the oven is
cool enough for the door to be unlatched.
● While the oven is self-cleaning, you can press the
CLOCK pad to display the time of day. To return
to the clean countdown, press the COOK TIME
ON/OFF pad.
● If the shelves become hard to slide, wipe the shelf
supports with cooking oil.
