Serial Number
The first two numbers of the serial number
identify the month and year of manufacture.

The letter designating the
year repeats every 12

Designates features–the higher
the number, the more features.

C = Continuous
Ignition System (Gas Models)
E = Electronic Pilotless Ignition

B = Black Glass
The serial plate of your cooktop is located
on the bottom of the burner box. In addition
to the model and serial numbers, it tells you
the ratings of the burners and the type of fuel
and pressure the cooktop was adjusted for
when it left the factory.
