Why is my GE JS760 making fan noise?
    • T
      Tamara WestSep 18, 2025
Fan noise in GE Ranges can be normal. A convection fan may automatically turn on and off to maximize cooking evenness, operating intermittently during preheat of the bake cycle and turning off after the oven reaches the set temperature. Additionally, a cooling fan may automatically turn on to cool internal parts and may run after the oven is turned off.

Why my GE Ranges control signals after entering cooking time?
    • V
      Vickie ReynoldsSep 19, 2025
If your GE Ranges is signaling after entering cooking time or start time, you likely forgot to enter a bake temperature or cleaning time. Touch the Bake pad and the desired temperature, or the Self Clean pad and the desired clean time.

How to fix GE Ranges oven racks that are difficult to slide?
    • N
      Nicholas MillerSep 22, 2025
If the oven racks in your GE Ranges are difficult to slide, and they are the shiny, silver-colored type, it's possible they were cleaned in a self-clean cycle. To resolve this, apply a small amount of vegetable oil to a paper towel and wipe the edges of the oven racks with the paper towel. Do not use lubricant sprays.

      Kathleen RoySep 22, 2025
If the storage drawer on your GE Ranges won’t close, the power cord may be obstructing the drawer in the lower back of the range; reposition the drawer and power cord. Alternatively, the drawer slide or rail may be improperly aligned with the support; reposition the drawer.
