8-3-1 Loading Base Image Software with DVD (cont’d)
6.) Select one of the options for loading the system. Select choice [a] to load the complete disk.
Refer to Figure 8-4 on page 8-6
- To select [a], the complete disk will be loaded. This option is recommended for
applicationsoftware upgrade.
NOTE: NOTE: When to select [a] to load complete disk, please ensure that any patient data on the disk
has been backed up.
- To select [b], only the bootable C: partition is loaded. This option is intended for recovery of a
system that will not boot up. It is not recommended for application software upgrade because
during upgrade process, the data on the system would possibly be impacted.
- To select [c] to quit system upgrade process
7.) Press “Yes” or “No” to continue.
If you select [a], ALL existing software and data will be erased. If backup has not been
performed, all data like Patient Database, System Configuration and User Configurations
(Customer Presets) will be lost.

While the software install procedure is designed to preserve data, you should select
choice [b] to format disk C only.
