      Lori NortonAug 25, 2025
If your GE Dishwasher is beeping at the end of the cycle (on some models), this is normal. The dishwasher will beep twice at the end of the cycle. To turn off the double beep indicator (or re-activate it if it was previously turned off), press the Heated Dry button 5 times within 3 seconds. A triple beep will sound to indicate the end-of-cycle beep option has been turned on or off.

Why is there detergent left in the dispenser cups of my GE PDF 820 Dishwasher?
    • D
      Diane CarpenterAug 27, 2025
If detergent is left in the dispenser cups of your GE Dishwasher, it's likely that dishes or utensils are blocking the detergent cup. Reposition the dishes to allow water from the lower spray arm to flush the detergent cup. Also, reposition tall utensils or heavy silverware that may be preventing the dispenser cup door from opening, and avoid placing large bowls or pots directly under the detergent dispenser.

How to clean stained tub interior in GE PDF 820 Dishwasher?
    • J
      Jessica HaleSep 3, 2025
If your GE Dishwasher has a stained tub interior, and you see a white film on the inside surface, it's likely due to hard water minerals. GE Appliances recommends using Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid to help prevent these deposits. You can also run the dishwasher with citric acid to remove mineral deposits. Citric acid (Part number: WD35X151) can be ordered through GE Appliances Parts. Alternatively, purchase Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner and follow the directions on the label.

What to do if water won’t pump out of my GE PDF 820?
    • J
      Jennifer RamirezSep 7, 2025
If water won’t pump out of your GE Dishwasher tub, it's likely that the drain is clogged. If you have an air gap, clean it. If the dishwasher drains into a disposer, run the disposer to clear it. Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining well; if not, you may need a plumber.

Why do the control panel lights go off on my GE Dishwasher?
    • A
      amber54Sep 10, 2025
If the control panel lights on your GE Dishwasher go off while you're setting the controls, it means there was too much time between touching the selected buttons. Each button must be touched within 30 seconds of the others. To relight the panel, touch any button again or open the door and unlock (top control).
