Why won't my GE Ranges surface units maintain a rolling boil?
    • D
      Daniel BaxterSep 1, 2025
If the surface units on your GE Ranges do not maintain a rolling boil or cooking is not fast enough, it could be due to using improper cookware. Use flat pans which match the diameter of the surface unit selected. In some areas, low power voltage may be the cause. Cover the pan with a lid until the desired heat is obtained.

    • G
      Gregory ThomasAug 27, 2025
If the surface units on your GE Ranges do not work properly, it could be due to a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in your home. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Also, check to see the correct control is set for the surface unit you are using.

Why doesn't my new GE Ranges oven cook like my old one?
    • C
      Cynthia Hoover MDSep 13, 2025
If your new oven doesn't cook like your old one, it may be because your new GE Ranges oven has a different cooking system. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself to meet your specific cooking preference. NOTE: This adjustment affects Bake temperatures; it will not affect Broil or Clean.

    • G
      gcoxSep 16, 2025
When using the ovens, it is normal to see steam coming out of the oven vents of your GE Ranges. As the number of racks or amount of food being cooked increases, the amount of visible steam will increase.

How to fix a GE RBS330 Ranges storage drawer that won’t close?
    • D
      Deborah BrooksSep 7, 2025
If your GE Ranges storage drawer won’t close, the power cord might be obstructing it in the lower back of the range. Reposition the drawer and power cord. It's also possible the rear drawer support is on top of the guide rail; reposition the drawer accordingly.

Why does my GE RBS330 oven door glass look tinted?
    • L
      Lisa AshleySep 13, 2025
No. The inner oven glass of your GE Ranges is coated with a heat barrier to reflect the heat back into the oven to prevent heat loss and keep the outer door cool while baking. This is normal. Under certain light or angles you may see this tint or rainbow color.

Why does my GE Ranges oven take longer to preheat?
    • K
      Kimberly HenrySep 23, 2025
If your GE Ranges oven is taking longer to preheat, it could be due to cookware or food in the oven, which will increase preheat time. Remove these items to reduce the time. Also, the number of racks in the oven can affect preheating; remove some racks to speed up the process.

If your GE Ranges oven isn't working, first check the fuse or circuit breaker in your home and replace or reset it if needed. Ensure the oven controls are properly set. If a single bracket "]" appears in the display, press the Bake and Broil pads simultaneously for three seconds until "SF" appears. Then, press the Set Clock or Cook Time pad until "On" is displayed, and press Start. The display should then show the time of day.
