if the volume of treated water has already exhausted the resins retaining capacity. On the contrary, if the
resins have not completely exhausted on expiry of the programmed days, the softener will carry out a
partial and hence cost-effective regeneration.
The water softeners with the timer in the AD version (1) are fitted with a disinfection system of the resins
and a special salt alarm system, which check after any regeneration that the salt in the tank is enough for
the next regeneration, by indicating the exhaustion, if any, with a sound-visual alarm.
The LCD display shows the requested flow rate per hour, the water volume which can be treated and
the treated litres (volume referred to 0° f), the visual alarm for overflow, warning the user when the
instantaneous flow rate is higher than the peak flow rate of the softener. In this case the softener will supply
partly softened water.
During the operation stage the display shows the programmed data and the clock function, while during
regeneration it shows the stage which is being carried out and its duration in minutes. It is also possible
through a function key to carry out an immediate manual regeneration.
Except for the clock and the exhausted salt alarm, all the other operating parameters
of the softener are to be adjusted by the authorized Technical Assistance Service
carrying out the first start up and testing of the softener.
The user and/or the installer are not allowed for any reason to change these
programming parameters!
1) The Timer in the version VT 2000 AD BPA controls the special accessory Automatic Mixing Valve (GEL
patent) able to guarantee the constant adjusting of the hardness set at the outlet.
2) The Timer in the version VT 2000 AD WS controls an innovative anti-flood system called Water
Sentinel (GEL patent) capable of stopping water delivery in case of anomalous water takings caused
by faults to washing machines, dishwashers, pipe breaking or no water closing.
3) The Timer VT 2000 AD BPW controls the automatic mixing valve and the anti-flood system at the
same time.
13.1 HOW TO START THE TIMER AND SELECT THE LANGUAGE
When plugging the unit, the language selection display will be shown; initially the arrow indicating the
current selection is placed on “Italiano”, that flashes on display.
