OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
MEASURING REAL-TIME EMF INTENSITY
To power on the EMF1394DL, press and hold the green button (Callout 2)
for at least 3 seconds. The unit will sound a long beep and the LCD will
illuminate. The LCD will briefly show, in the following sequence:
1) All display indications
2) The term EEP on the upper readout and 1 on the lower right readout
3) Auto on the upper readout and OFF on the lower right readout (to
indicate that the meter’s Auto Power Off (APO) function is enabled)
4) The term SdHC on the upper readout and 2.0 on the lower left readout
The meter will then power on with a clock icon in the lower left corner of the
LCD to further confirm that the APO function is enabled. Next, the meter will
automatically enter “normal” display mode. In this mode, the upper readout
shows total (triaxial) EMF intensity (indicated by the text X Y Z at the upper
left of the LCD) and the two lower readouts show the current day and hour
and current minute and second.
To set the current day and time, follow the procedure on pages 10 and 11. If
you never intend to automatically log EMF measurements, you need not enter
day, hour, minutes and seconds values (which together serve as a time
stamp).
To enter alternate display mode, press the SET button (Callout 7). In this
mode, the LCD shows the x-axis field intensity on the upper readout (with an
X at the upper left of the reading) and the field’s y- and z-axis intensities on
the lower readouts (with a Y and a Z below the readings).
