To hold a reading or readings (the combined triaxial EMF intensity reading
on the upper readout or the separate axial readings on the three readouts),
press the button (Callout 3). To release the reading(s), press the
button again.
To power off the EMF1394DL, press and hold the button for at least
3 seconds.
DISPLAYING MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TRIAXIAL READINGS
The EMF1394DL automatically keeps track of the maximum and minimum
(largest and smallest) EMF values recorded over a measurement “session”—
the time during which the meter is used to measure the EMF intensity at
multiple distances from a device and/or the intensity of multiple devices. The
session begins when you power on the EMF1394DL; it typically ends 15
minutes after you finish making measurements with the activation of the
meter’s APO function.
The value of being able to quickly determine the largest and smallest EMF
generator of a group of machines or appliances, or the locations where the
EMF intensity of a particular device are higher (highest) and lower (lowest),
should be obvious.
To display the maximum triaxial EMF value recorded by the EMF1394DL
since it was last powered off, switch the meter to operate in normal display
mode and press the MX/MN button (Callout 4). The term MAX will appear on
the top line of the LCD.
To display the minimum triaxial EMF value recorded over the same
period, press the MX/MN button again. The term MIN will replace MAX on
the top line.
The EMF1394DL cannot display Max and Min values of single-axis
measurements.
To exit Max/Min mode and re-enter normal, real-time EMF measurement
mode, press and hold the MX/MN button for at least 3 seconds.
STORING AND RECALLING READINGS MANUALLY
The EMF1394DL incorporates enough fixed, internal memory to store up to
99 three-axis EMF readings. To store a displayed reading, briefly press (but do
not hold) the MEM button (Callout 8). The upper readout will briefly flash a
number from 1 to 99 indicating the number of the memory location where the
currently displayed reading will be stored. When you release the button the
meter will return to displaying triaxial or single-axis EMF intensity readings.
