What to do if GESTRA Measuring Instruments do not work accurately?

If GESTRA Measuring Instruments aren't working accurately, several factors could be the cause. It might be due to the level electrode being installed without a protection tube, which is necessary as a reference electrode; in this case, install a protection tube. Alternatively, the vent hole in the protection tube may be obstructed or flooded; inspect the protection tube and clear the vent hole if needed. If you're using an external level pot, make sure the isolating valves are open. Also, ensure the level electrode is sufficiently long for the desired measuring range. Check and correct the code switch settings and clean the electrode tip if it's covered with dirt. Finally, if the level electrode is submerged and the voltage is not correct, consider replacing it.

If GESTRA Measuring Instruments fail to work, first check the power supply and electrical connections to ensure they are properly connected. If there is a power failure, switch on the supply voltage. Another possible cause is an interrupted earth connection to the vessel. To resolve this, clean the seating surfaces and screw in the level electrode together with the joint ring 27 x 32, form D, DIN 7603 (made from 2.4068), bright annealed. Ensure that you do not insulate the electrode with hemp or PTFE tape.
