Safety valve test Checks and if necessary adjusts the
opening pressure for the safety valve to
117 ±3 cm H
2
O.
Checks the hardware signals related to
the safety valve functions.
(BRE + MON)
1. Check the inspiratory section:
• Check that the inspiratory pipe
is correctly mounted in
inspiratory section.
• Check that the safety valve
membrane is clean and
correctly seated in the
inspiratory pipe.
2. Replace the safety valve pull
magnet.
3. Replace PC 1784 Expiratory
channel.
4. Replace PC 1772 Monitoring.
O
2
cell test Calibrates and checks the O
2
cell at
21% O
2
and 100% O
2
.
Checks if the O
2
cell is worn out.
As different gas mixtures are used
during this test, calibration and check
of O
2
cell will not be performed if one
gas is missing.
(BRE + MON)
1. Check that the connected gas
supply pressure (Air and O
2
) is
within the specified range.
2. Replace the O
2
cell.
3. Replace the gas modules. Replace
one gas module at a time.
4. Replace PC 1771 Control.
5. Replace PC 1772 Monitoring.
