1. Before installation
The information in these operating instructions must by all means be carefully read and observed.
Only then can a perfect functioning of the Shaker be guaranteed.
Vital information within the manual are emphasized in bold
letters. Safety precautions are additionally marked with the
following symbols
Warning of dangerous electrical voltage
Warning of hand injuries
General hazard warning
A free of charge guarantee repair cannot be granted for defects due to improper installation or
handling.
In some Shaker types, a paperboard strip has been inserted as a transport protection between
shaking table and housing. The paperboard strip must be removed before installation.
2. Location of the Shaker
The unit is suitable for bench mounting indoors and for use in incubation and tempering rooms.
Place on solid, stable and level surfaces only. Please observe the total admissible weight (weight
of the unit as per Technical Data – item 7 of these operating instructions – plus load).
For use in incubation and tempering rooms please observe the environmental conditions stated in
the Technical Data.
The Shaker is not suitable for use in explosion endangered surroundings, eg during
anaesthesia with inflammable gas or steam types!
3. Voltage
The right-hand control knob of the Shaker must be in 0 position.
The voltage and the frequnency on the
nameplate (at the back of the unit)
must be identical to the mains
voltage.
If they are identical, connect the unit to
the mains: Plug the appliance plug into
the unit socket at the back of the Shaker
and the shock-proof plug into the mains
socket.
