3.1 MAINTENANCE
Before doing anything, ensure the machine is disconnected from the power source and
that there is no possibility of accidental connections.
These machines usually do not need any maintenance so long the following precautions are
taken:
-If there is a risk of freezing, it is necessary to empty the pump casing then fill the pump up before
it gets working again.
-Make sure the pump never works dry.
-On D.C. motors the brushes must be checked periodically for consumption and springs pressure.
-If the pump does not work for a long time it is better to empty the pump casing and clean it.
-If a filter and a foot valve are installed, check periodically their integrity and cleanness.
-The impeller never can’t be blocked. If it happens, a descaling of the impeller and casing pump
must never be done.
a) Replacement of impeller and mechanical seal:
This is a fairly complex operation and should only be undertaken by qualified personnel.

1) Models: ACB 61G; ACB 61RG
 Unscrew the screw for cover fixing
 Extract the cover
 Extract the impeller with two screw-driver
 Extract the impeller key
 Remove the Seeger
 Extract the mechanical seal and their counter-face
 Unscrew the screw for fixing the pump to motor
 Extract the body pump, may attention to not damage the motor shaft
2) Model: ACB 60; ACB 80; ACB 90
 Unscrew the screw for fixing the body pump to the motor pump fitting
 Extract the body pump with the diffuser
i. For remove the diffuser, unscrew the internal screw and extract with two
screw-driver
 Extract the impeller with two screw-driver
 Extract the impeller key
 Remove the Seeger
 Extract the mechanical seal and their counter-face
 Remove the motor pump fitting
To re-assemble all the electric ACB act in reverse as we removed the pump, by substituting the O-
Ring
In any case, always refer to the exploded view of the pump.
Should it be necessary to replace the mechanical seal, clean the seat on pump body.
Before you install a new replacement wet the seal and the seat with water or ethyl alcohol.
DO NOT USE GREASE AND SOLVENTS
These substances can damage the RUBBER SEAL
In the case of a rotor used is reassembled the performance of the pump and its auto-ignition could
