Installation
Put both straps together and thread them through the opening
in the handle of the unit. Fasten the straps individually with
the strap buttons.
Note!
Depending on the desired position of the pump lever (left or
right hand operation), the two ends of the straps can be
attached at the front or rear of the unit. The pump lever should
be on the left for right-handed users.
Pull the two ends of the straps through the receivers in the
tank base and fasten individually with the strap buttons.
The straps are adjusted after the unit has been shouldered by
pulling the draw cords. Pulling the adjusters allows the straps
to be extended.
Loosen the locking nut from the pump housing and put it over
the hose. Push the hose completely onto the connecting spout
at the pump housing and screw it tight to the locking nut.
Loosen the locking not from the trigger control valve and put it
onto the hose assembly. Push the hose completely onto the
connecting spout at the trigger control valve and screw it tight
to the locking nut.
Screw the spray lance to the trigger control valve.
If necessary, attach the extension (Type 2018 only).
Initial operation
Please check at least at the beginning of every spraying season
whether the output of the sprayer (l/min) still corresponds
with the indicted values! Observe the advice of the manufac-
turer of the spraying agent!
Remove the tank lid and fill up the unit with the filler fun-
nel.
Warning!
Do not exceed the maximum filling level (see the Technical
Data). Follow any points concerning safety regulations and
permitted substances. Check the filling level. Follow the
details given by the manufacturer of the spraying sub-
stance!
At the time of manufacture of this unit, the manufac-
turer is not aware of any potential harm to the materi-
als used in this equipment by any BBA-approved plant
protective agents.
Close the tank by replacing the tank lid.
Put the spray unit on your back. Adjust the straps to the
right length.
Sample computation for checking and
determining dosage of spray compound
Bases:
Spraying pressure 1.5 bar
Nozzle Hollow cone nozzle, angle of spray
55°
Spraying height 50 cm
Dosage 0.5% (see pesticide
manufacturer’s instructions)
This means:
Quantity required 0.42 l/min
Spraying width 50 cm
Angle of spray 55°
Quantity of spray compound
per m
2
0.06 l = 600 l/ha
(see pesticide manufacturer’s
instructions)
To mix 1 l spray
compound 1l water + 5 ml compound
(5 ml = 0.5% of 1 litre)
With a spraying width of 50 cm,
a length of 2 m equals a sprayed area of 1 m
