USING THE WINCH | CITROEN BERLINGO BLAZE
A winch (Fig. 1) is an option available to assist heavier
wheelchairs up and down the ramp. The winch is not
to be used as a method of restraining a wheelchair
when the car is in motion.
1. Position wheelchair at the foot of the ramp and
apply the brakes.
2. Connect the winch to the T-bar, and then
connect the T-bar straps to appropriate part of
wheelchair. (Fig 2.)
3. Ensure occupants feet or legs do not come into
contact with any part of the winch mechanism
or straps.
Always use the winch in conjunction with the wheelchair
restraining straps. Release the winch tension once the
wheelchair is secured in position.
