If it has a locking ring, make sure it's fully screwed on. * If the unit is plugged in and the Kettle Heat Switch is ON, but the small green indicator switch light is OFF, then the Kettle Circuit Breaker may be tripped. Have a qualified service person check if the breaker has tripped (breaker is located under the dome). * A defective thermocouple lead or a loose kettle lead-in connection can also cause this issue. Check for control error conditions and have a qualified service person check for good connections from the kettle to the control.

If it is ON, but the shaft remains still, the switch or motor may be faulty; contact qualified service personnel for inspection/repair. For kettles with a FIXED Stir Rod, check the clearance between the shaft with welded stir blade and the kettle bottom; it should be a minimum of 1/32” (thickness of a dime).

  The yellow dump light being ON or blinking, accompanied by a sounding buzzer (outside of normal operation) or a steady dump light with insufficient kettle heating on your Gold Medal Kitchen Appliance indicates that the Temperature Control Board has detected an error condition. A loose kettle lead-in connection can cause a thermocouple lead issue. Make sure the kettle lead is plugged in completely and the locking ring is fully screwed onto the kettle receptacle. Contact qualified service personnel for inspection/repair.
