Why are my Gold Medal G-Whiz 5908 popping cycles so long?
Long popping cycles (longer than 4 minutes) in your Gold Medal Kitchen Appliances may be due to inferior corn. It is recommended to use only top quality hybrid popcorn from reputable suppliers. Moisture or dryness in the corn can also slow down popping cycles.
What to do if kettle agitator is not rotating in Gold Medal Kitchen Appliances?
If the kettle agitator is not rotating in your Gold Medal Kitchen Appliances, first check if the unit has power and the Kettle Motor Switch is ON. If the switch is ON, and the agitator is still not rotating, DO NOT pop corn and contact qualified service personnel for inspection/repair. Also, if equipped, check the condition of the fuse and replace it if needed. If the fuse trips again, contact qualified service personnel for inspection/repair before going any further. If the kettle agitator shaft is not rotating, DO NOT pop corn. Check the clearance between the kettle bottom and the stir blade; it should be 1/32” (use a dime).
