What to do if my Goodman furnace fails to operate due to excessive ignition retries?
    • S
      Stephanie HallAug 19, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate because of too many ignition retries, the possible causes are failure to establish flame, loss of flame after establishment, or gas interruption. You should locate and correct any gas interruption. Check the front cover pressure switch operation and ensure proper drainage, correcting if necessary. Consider replacing or realigning the igniter. Inspect the flame sense signal, cleaning the sensor if it's coated or oxidized. Verify the flue piping is free from blockages, has the correct length and elbows, and is properly terminated. Also, ensure the induced draft blower is performing as expected.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U airflow is less than expected?
    • D
      Dana BarkerAug 21, 2025
If your Goodman furnace's airflow is less than expected, it might be operating in a power, temperature, or speed limiting condition. First, check the filters for any blockage and clean them or remove any obstructions. Next, inspect the ductwork for blockages and make sure all registers are fully open. Finally, verify that the ductwork is appropriately sized for the system; if not, resize or replace it as necessary.

Why my Goodman furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module LED display provides no signal?
    • P
      Patrick GarciaAug 25, 2025
If your Goodman furnace isn't working and the integrated control module LED display shows no signal, it could be due to a lack of 115V power to the furnace, no 24V power to the integrated control module, a blown fuse, a tripped circuit breaker, or a non-functional integrated control module. Restore high voltage power to the furnace and integrated control module. Replace the integrated control module if it's non-functional.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U fails to operate because of grounding fault?
    • D
      David PayneAug 26, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate due to a grounding fault or poor neutral connection, verify the neutral wire connection to the furnace and confirm continuity to the ground source.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U Furnace fails to operate because of an open roll out switch?
    • K
      Kelly OneillAug 28, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate due to an open roll out switch, check for correct gas pressure, correct burner alignment, and check for and correct any burner restrictions.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U fails to operate and the circulator blower motor is not running?
    • D
      Danielle WilliamsAug 30, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate because the circulator blower motor isn't running when it should be, check the wiring connections to ensure they are tight and correct. Verify there's a continuous circuit through the inductor, and replace it if it's open or short-circuited. Also, inspect the circulator blower motor itself and replace it if necessary.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U fails to operate because of aux limit switch open?
    • R
      Randall MillerSep 1, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate because the aux limit switch is open in the blower compartment, check the filters and ductwork for blockages. Clean the filters or remove any obstructions. Also, check the circulator blower speed and performance, correcting the speed or replacing the blower motor if necessary. Ensure that the wiring connections are tight and correct.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U Furnace fails to operate because of a low stage pressure switch issue?
    • J
      Jamie CraigSep 5, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate and it's due to the low stage pressure switch circuit being closed at the start of the heating cycle, the low stage pressure switch contacts sticking, or a short in the pressure switch circuit wiring, you should replace the low stage pressure switch or repair the short in the wiring.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U Furnace operation is different than expected because of invalid memory card data?
    • J
      Joy PhillipsSep 8, 2025
If your Goodman furnace operation is different than expected due to invalid memory card data, verify the shared data set is correct for the specific model and re-populate the data using the correct memory card if required.

What to do if my Goodman AMVS96U Furnace fails to operate due to circulator blower motor communication loss?
    • F
      Felicia GarciaSep 10, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate because the integrated control module has lost communication with the circulator blower motor, tighten or correct the wiring connections. Check the circulator blower motor and replace if necessary. Also, check the integrated control module and replace it if needed.
