Why is paint leaking out of the cup threads of my Graco 26D283 Paint Sprayer?
    • S
      sandrafordAug 19, 2025
If paint leaks out of the cup threads on your Graco Paint Sprayer, it may be because the cup is not properly seated. Verify the Cup Lid is tight and add Seal Lube (included) to the Cup Lid gasket to ensure an airtight seal. Also, make certain there is only one FlexLiner in the Cup Support and that there is no damage to or debris on the top sealing edge of the FlexLiner or Cup Lid gasket. Make certain the Cup Lid is properly threaded to the Cup Support, ensuring there are no threads visible when tight. Avoid flexing or pushing down on the Cup Support or pulling down on the FlexLiner when you evacuate the air out of the FlexLiner. If the issue persists, replace the FlexLiner.

Why does the spray pattern “spit” at the end or beginning when using my Graco 26D283?
    • L
      Laura GuerreroAug 22, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer's spray pattern “spits” at the end or beginning, it could be due to excess material accumulated on the Spray Tip and Spray Tip Guard, or the Spray Tip is partially plugged. Clean the Spray Tip and Spray Tip Guard and clear the Spray Tip. If the issue continues, consider replacing the spray tip or the pump if it has reached its maximum life.

Why does my Graco 26D283 make no sound when trigger is pulled?
    • J
      Jason PageAug 28, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer makes no sound when you pull the trigger, there are a few potential causes: * First, ensure the sprayer is correctly plugged into a grounded and functional power source. * If the motor has overheated, wait 20-30 minutes for it to cool down. * Lastly, an electronic control failure may require you to replace the electronic control.

Why is the spray pattern pulsating on my Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • G
      gregg44Aug 31, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer's spray pattern is pulsating, it could be due to several reasons: * If you are moving too fast while spraying, try slowing down your speed of movement. * The spray tip may be clogged. * If the material is difficult to atomize, and your model has Speed Control, increase the speed until you achieve the desired pattern. * If the sprayer is too far from the target surface, hold it farther away from the surface. * Consider installing a different size spray tip.

Why does the spray pattern have tails when using my Graco 26D283?
    • R
      Rebecca GarciaSep 3, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer's spray pattern has tails, it could be due to the following reasons: * If your model has Speed Control, the speed control may be set too low, increase the speed until the desired pattern is achieved. * Consider installing a different size spray tip. * The material may need to be thinned, so thin the material following the paint manufacturer's recommendations. * Try changing to a different material. * Replacing the spray tip may also resolve the issue.

Why does the spray pattern have dripping/sagging when using my Graco 26D283 Paint Sprayer?
    • T
      Tom FinleySep 5, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer's spray pattern has dripping or sagging, it could be due to the following: * If you are moving too slowly while spraying, increase your spraying speed. * If the sprayer is too close to the target surface, move it farther away from the surface. * Make sure to release the trigger when changing directions. * If your model has Speed Control, and it is set too high, decrease the speed until the desired pattern is achieved. * Replacing the spray tip may also resolve the issue.

What to do if my Graco 26D283 is not primed?
    • I
      Isabella MillerNov 15, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer is not primed, it could be due to a few reasons. First, repeat the Start Up procedure to ensure all air is evacuated from the FlexLiner. An under tightened Cup Lid will allow air to seep into the FlexLiner and cause a loss of prime, so verify the Cup Lid is tight and add Seal Lube (included) to the Cup Lid gasket to ensure an airtight seal. If the sprayer sprays when upside down but not upright, there is likely still an air leak into the cup, so try replacing the FlexLiner and VacuValve (extra of both are included with the sprayer). Also, make certain there is only one FlexLiner in the Cup Support. Check that there is no damage to or debris on the top sealing edge of the FlexLiner or Cup Lid gasket. Make certain all the air is out of the FlexLiner and the VacuVal...
