      Your Graco Water Pump motor may be overheating due to several reasons: the gears might be binding, there could be a clogged inlet strainer, suction tube, hose, or nozzle, or the pump may be operating for an extended time with the nozzle closed or for more than 30 minutes continuously. Ensure that the gears turn freely on the shaft. Clean or replace the clogged inlet strainer, suction tube, hose, or nozzle if required. Limit operation to 30 minutes per hour and avoid operating the pump for more than 5 minutes with the nozzle closed.

      If your Graco Water Pump has low output flow, it could be due to a clogged inlet strainer, an air leak in the suction tube, the suction tube being too close to the tank bottom, an empty or unvented tank, worn or damaged gears, a damaged motor, or a clogged suction tube, hose, or nozzle. Clean or replace the inlet strainer. Check to ensure all joints in the suction tube are sealed. Ensure the suction tube has a 2 in. (51 mm) minimum clearance from the tank bottom. Refill the tank and ensure it is vented to the atmosphere. Inspect and replace worn or damaged gears. Replace the motor if damaged. Inspect and clean any clogged components.

      If the motor stalls when the nozzle is closed, the bypass relief valve may be stuck, the supply voltage may be low, the gears may be damaged and binding, or the motor may be faulty. Inspect the relief valve, making sure the poppet is free, and replace if damaged. Check the supply voltage. Inspect the gears to ensure they turn freely, and replace if damaged. Replace the motor if faulty.

    What to do if my Graco Water Pump switch will not turn pump on?

      If the switch will not turn the pump on, it could be due to a blown fuse, an electrical problem, a defective switch, a mechanical problem, or a damaged or defective motor. Replace the fuse with a 20 amp automotive fuse (Littelfuse ATO 257020 or Bussman ATC-20). Check that the supply voltage is proper and getting to the pump. Check and replace the switch if defective. Check the switch actuator cam to ensure it is actuating the switch. Check the motor and replace it if damaged or defective.

    Why is fuel leaking in the motor mount of my Graco BLUE DEVIL 260000 Water Pump?

      Fuel may be leaking in the motor mount due to a faulty or damaged motor shaft seal, operating the pump for an extended time with the nozzle closed, or a worn motor shaft. Replace the shaft seal. Do not exceed 5 minutes of operation with the nozzle closed. Replace the motor if the shaft has a groove worn in the seal area.

      If the motor runs but the pump won't prime, it could be due to several reasons. For 12 VDC and 24 VDC units, check the wiring instructions. Inspect and replace the relief valve o-ring seal if missing or damaged. Inspect and replace the sheared drive key if worn or sheared. Clean or replace the dirt under the relief poppet or seal if damaged. Inspect and replace the strainer seal if damaged. Refill the tank if the fuel level is low. Replace the cover seal if worn or damaged. Remove and clean or replace the inlet strainer if clogged. Inspect all joints in the suction tube, and ensure all joints have sealant applied to fix any air leak.
